Established by Josef Rupp I in 1908, Rupp is a traditional Austrian cheese factory. Today, under CEO Josef Rupp III, the company has 350 employees, a turnover of €105 million, and produces 30,000 tons of cheese with an 85% export ratio shipping to more than 60 countries. I was brought in to help with their “vision 2025.”

The Rupp banner logo had been in use for decades, so rather than redesign the mark and lose the equity within it, I felt that a refinement would be much more beneficial — one with a friendlier appearance to suit the family-owned business. In conjunction I produced some bespoke hand-drawn type for displaying the company tagline and product names, matching it with distinctive and relevant photography for packaging and advertising.

The result was exactly what we had hoped for — clear, clean, continuous, with a focus on stylistic elements. Thank you so much for your work on this project. It is a major help for us.
